Custom Social Previews¶
Make every link you share look designed, not dumped. With Custom Social Previews, your short links post as a polished, branded card — with your own title, description, and image — instead of a bare URL that nobody clicks.
The link still forwards visitors to your destination exactly as normal. You're just controlling the first impression.
Why it matters¶
-
Custom title & description
Write the headline and blurb that appear when your link is shared on social platforms and messaging apps. Say what the link is — and why someone should tap it — in your own words.
-
Custom image
Add a branded image so your link shows up as a full visual card. Your logo, your product shot, your campaign art — front and center in every feed and chat.
-
Higher click-through
A designed card earns far more clicks than a naked URL. Same link, same destination — a much stronger reason to tap.
Add a social preview¶
- Create or edit a link from the dashboard (New Link, or open an existing link).
- Open the social preview section and set your title, description, and image.
- Preview the card to see how it will look when shared, and adjust the copy or image until it feels right.
- Save. From now on, anywhere that link is shared, it posts as your branded card — while visitors are still forwarded to your destination as usual.
Pick the right image
For the best-looking card across platforms, use a wide image — around 1200 × 630 pixels (a roughly 1.9:1 ratio). Keep important text and your logo near the center so nothing gets cropped, and use a high-resolution file so it stays crisp on large screens.
Use cases¶
| Scenario | How a custom preview helps |
|---|---|
| Campaign launches | Announce a launch with a link that shows the campaign art and headline — not a plain address — so it stands out the moment it hits a feed. |
| Affiliate shares | Promote a product with a branded card that looks trustworthy and on-message, lifting click-through on every share. |
| PR & announcements | Share news links that render as clean, professional cards when journalists and partners post or forward them. |
Custom Social Previews are available on paid plans — see pricing for details.
